Jahnavi Aluri

VP, Planning & Special Projects

Jahnavi is an urban planner and community development professional with more than eight years of experience advancing equitable neighborhood development across New York City's public and nonprofit sectors. As Vice President of Planning & Special Projects at the Downtown Jamaica Partnership, she leads initiatives that strengthen commercial corridors, enhance public spaces, and drive long-term community investment.

She has served on the Jamaica Area Rezoning Steering Committee and the Mayor's Office of Climate and Environmental Justice's Climate Strong Communities Neighborhood Support Team, helping advance resilient, community-centered planning initiatives. Throughout her career, she has championed major infrastructure investments, supported small businesses, and fostered partnerships that promote inclusive economic growth.

Jahnavi holds a master's degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University and is a certified member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
